Vatech America - PaX-Duo3D CBCT
The PaX-Duo3D CBCT features auto-switching technology to allow switching between panoramic and CT sensors, without doing it manually. It allows the advanced 3-D scan for patients, but can quickly rotate for a 2-D scan. A dedicated sensor for each system provides superior image quality for an effective patient treatment plan and diagnosis through 3-D cross-sectional, canal, and implant simulation. It also features a special scanning mode for scanning incisors, the mandibular canal, and maxillary molars. The scanner features an LCD window for patient guidance, as well as an imbedded camera for patient positioning.
For imaging in 3D mode you can use a total of 4 sizes of FOV from 5x5 cm up to 12x8,5 cm, which is ideal for scanning the whole mandible. FOV sizes were stated on the basis of clinical experience from various dental operations so that the doctor can image the whole of the required area during one scan and, at the same time, the patient is not affected for nothing by the radiation load.
PaX-Duo3D has 2 separate sensors for 3D and panorama mode, which are automatically set according to the selected scanning mode. There is no risk of sensor damage during manipulation and the exact calibration ensures perfect image quality.
For greater comfort the device is fitted with a large contact panel containing a user friendly menu. The operator can perform all settings directly with the patient and need not move to a distant computer. The patient is pleasantly surprised by the voice and pectoral instructions which the device automatically provides.
The image quality and operational economy is decisive in the case of dental X-ray devices, therefore the PaX-Duo3D processes images using advanced algorithms which significantly speed up the reconstruction of 3D images or reduce reflections caused by metal artefacts in the X-ray area.
