Why go next door instead of down the street?
Tuckahoe and Eastchester share a school district and a main street; we have been part of that community since 1995. What sets the practice apart is not location but capability: Digital Dental Designs, our own laboratory, is in this building, so a crown or veneer is scanned, milled and bonded in one visit rather than two appointments three weeks apart.
Dr. Boiano also places and restores implants himself, so there is no referral out to an oral surgeon and back.
Getting here from Tuckahoe
A short walk or drive from the Tuckahoe Metro-North station on the Harlem Line. Parking and access are from White Plains Post Road (Route 22).
Drive time is about 5 minutes in normal traffic — just over a mile from Tuckahoe.
What Tuckahoe patients come here for
- Dental implants — placed and restored by the same dentist
- CEREC one-visit crowns and veneers — milled in our own laboratory and bonded the same day
- Cosmetic dentistry — designed with our technicians in the building
- Family dentistry — children and adults, two dentists in the practice
- Emergency dental care — same-day where we possibly can
Anything else Tuckahoe patients should know?
Because we are minutes away, Tuckahoe patients are among the easiest for us to fit in for a genuine emergency — a fractured tooth on a weekday morning can usually be seen the same day, and in the case of a broken front tooth we can often place an implant and deliver a milled temporary in that same visit.
Why do Tuckahoe patients choose Dr. Boiano?
Plenty of good dentists are closer to you than we are. Here is what the credentials actually are, so you can judge for yourself:
Education. DDS from New York University College of Dentistry. General practice residency at Westchester Medical Center, a Level I trauma center. A two-year surgical and prosthetic implant certificate from NYU — both halves of implant treatment, which is why one clinician can handle the whole case.
Credentials. Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI). He holds a teaching position at Westchester Medical Center, instructing general practice residents and oral and maxillofacial surgery residents.
Experience. In practice since 1995. Placing and restoring implants for over 20 years — and more than 95% of the patients treated 20 years ago still have their implants, without issues.
Equipment. CEREC MC XL and Sirona X5 milling units and Vatech PaxDuo 3D imaging, running in our own laboratory, Digital Dental Designs, on site. Very few private dental practices in the United States own their lab.
Still deciding? Read the reviews rather than our description of them — several hundred across both offices, many from patients who have been with the practice for two decades: Eastchester reviews on Google · Throgs Neck reviews on Google. Full background: Dr. Giovanni Boiano, DDS, FAGD, FICOI.
